Why we charge for a consultation

Our consultation fee is €150 plus VAT which we will credit against your final fee should you decide to use our service. We know that most accountants provide free consultations but we’re not like most accountants. This may seem arrogant, and we apologise if it comes across that way.  That is not the intention. However, we have built a reputation as one of the go-to-accountants for competitive, effective tax advice. But because of this, we get many requests from existing and potential clients for consultations on how we can save them money and reduce their tax bill. We love doing that and we are very good at it! However, we are a small business and there are only so many hours in the day, therefore, if most of our time is spent providing free consultations then we wouldn’t have a business.

The €150 consultation fee is not intended as a way of generating fees but helps us filter out which clients are serious about getting good tax advice and which ones are not.  After four years in business, we find that if a client is not willing to pay €150 for expert tax advice then there is a strong possibility that they won't be comfortable investing in the services of a highly qualified accountant.  As qualified Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, we have put a lot of time, thought, energy and money into educating ourselves to be one of the best accountants and tax advisers you will find.

We hope this explains why we charge a consultation fee.  We have serviced many clients and have never yet had anyone complain that the consultation fee wasn't worth it!
